Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, our efforts have been directed to precise syntheses of a novel type block copolymer (BCP) to induce self-assembly beyond the conventional theory and to create the controlled structure-oriented functions. Various type of BCPs have been synthesized, such as “cyclic BCP” based on cyclic chains, “alternating sequence BCP” on alternating copolymer, “multi short BCP” consisting of some short segments. Novel self-assembled behaviors and functions from the topology, sequence, and combination have been revealed with the new type of BCPs.
