Outline of Final Research Achievements |
As candidate diagnostic and therapeutic targets of esophageal and gastric cancers associated with spheroid-forming cancer stem cells, kinesin family (KIFC1, KIF11, KIF23), IQGAP3, DSG1 were identified. BST2 and MCOLN3, identified from 5-FU-resistant gastric cancer cells, were found to regulate chemosensitivity. These findings will contribute to the application to the diagnosis and treatment for therapy-resistant cancer stem cells.
