Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was clarify the thoughts after returning to Fukushima Prefecture of child-rearing mothers who evacuated to another prefecture at the 3rd and 5th year from the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident as a continuation study on the mother's thought of child-rearing mothers who evacuated to another prefecture after the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident. I conducted semi-structured interviews with 6 mothers who had evacuated to another prefecture after the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident and later returned to Fukushima Prefecture as of the third year since the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident and were rearing children in their infancy. The interviews revealed that worries about the effects of radiation on their child(ren) continued. Even from the situation that the problem of radiation has not been solved, my findings suggest the necessity of supporting mothers' lives and child rearing was considered from a continuous and long-term perspective.
