石英ラマン圧力計の超高圧変成岩への適用：変成履歴を残留圧力から読み解く

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では中国東部・蘇魯地域の超高圧変成岩試料を対象に、従来の確立された岩石学的解析と共にラマン分光分析による残留圧力測定 (石英ラマン圧力計)を組合せ、累進変成作用期の変成履歴の解析を行った。その結果、ザクロ石の中心部に包有されているSiO2相が、母岩が超高圧条件に達した後もコース石 (SiO2高圧多形)への相転移を免れていた事、そして石英安定下であった累進変成作用初期の残留圧力を現在も保持する事が明らかとなった。これは、岩石学的研究と石英ラマン圧力計を相補的に用いることで、超高圧変成岩の場合でも累進変成条件を精度よく決定できるという重要な成果である。今後、本研究アプローチはプレート収束域に産する高圧型変成岩の累進変成作用を考察する上で、非常に重要なツールとなる事が期待される。なお、本研究成果は国内外の学会で発表し、この成果をまとめた論文は査読付き国際誌 (Taguchi et al. 2016; Journal of Metamorphic Geology)に掲載された。
また、本年度は上記の研究に加え、超高圧変成帯上昇期に形成されたコース石の仮像に着目した研究にも取り組んだ。この研究内容は、当初の申請書には記載されていなかったが、超高圧変成岩上昇時のテクトニクスや流体の挙動を制約できる可能性があり、今後の主要な研究課題となる見込みである。
