Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research focuses on finding efficient algorithms for video coding as a pre-processing process for the next generation video-coding standard. Our new proposal for both intra and inter coding of traditional video coding standard is constructed using a cloud based approach. Several efficient algorithms are proposed for both intra and inter coding. These algorithms are significant contributions for not only the coding efficiency and coding speed. It provided a well-balanced processing method that is very significant issue for hardware implementations. The current version of the research result has deep relation with the network speed. Some new approaches concerning the database construction on the cloud have been proposed including a CNN-based object recognition model. These new approaches introduced more new possibility, which encouraged us to go on this research.
