Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this empirical study is to verify how English Curriculums in Elementary Education can sufficiently be utilized in internationalization. To proceed with this verification and analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among members of Educational Governments, Students and English teachers of Junior-High Schools for both in Korea and Japan, to validate how the differences in curriculums may impact on what factors. As a result of analysis, 80 percent of survey participants of Governments in both Japan and Korea have evaluated that English Curriculums at Elementary Schools are generally satisfactory. Usability of the curriculums are generally higher in Japan than in Korea. It is also highlighted that inequality in students’ English skills are now a serious concern in Korea. As for Japan, it is highlighted that more creativity is required when organizing lessons, in order to sustain interests towards English among students.
