Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to evaluate rebar corrosion process from dormant stage to acceleration stage by ultrasonic testing (UT) and acoustic emission method (AE), electrolytic corrosion tests ware applied to RC beam specimens. As the results, it was clarified that amplitude and energy which were calculated form wave form in UT were increasing in dormant stage, and the parameter start to decrease due to corrosion induced cracks. The corrosion induces cracks were detected by AE. It is observed that the time to start increasing of micro cracks agreed with the decreasing of the decreasing of parameter in UT.
