Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study investigates reliable supply chain and transport networks, which have good tolerance and high robustness towards uncertainty brought about by disaster. Network models are developed and utilised, taking into account the performance of both networks, since there are interactions between them. The models are also extended so that the dynamic nature of network conditions can be incorporated, representing the dynamic transition of the network conditions under uncertainty. Numerical tests estimate the robustness of supply chain network and the vulnerability of transport network and explore the measures for expanding their reliability, on the basis of the change in profit and surplus obtained by the economic entities on the networks as well as of that in the amount of supply and demand of products.
