| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was the development of a new program for facilitators in simulation education.
We conducted interviews between December 2016 and January 2017 with 16 instructors at Japanese medical institutions. The interviewers also conducted focus group discussions. We found five categories of difficulties for the facilitators. The facilitators also possessed their own skill sets, outlooks and personal beliefs.The future tasks are to strengthen the current facilitator development program and to create a self-assessment table to gain the confidence of facilitators.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究において、シミュレーション教育における指導者がどのような困難を抱え、また工夫をしながら取り組んでいるかを明らかにした。また、困難を克服できるようプログラムに取り入れたことで、より実践的な指導者の育成につながっていることが期待できる。
研究者らは、本研究にて構築したプログラムをもとに、シミュレーション教育における指導者の育成に取り組み、過去4年間で講習会を149回開催し、1088名の受講修了者を輩出した。
