This research is a comparative study on the current architectural design education in the universities in Asia Pacific region through the view points on curriculums, themes and methodologies on studio education, faculty composition and their networks, facility and equipments. On-site researches were conducted in cities such as Los Angeles, Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan (Taipei and Taichung), South Korea (Seoul and Busan). Interviews to the core faculties, participatory observations in studios and reviews, analysis of students works, visits to the educational facilities were conducted. As a result, unique experiments in studio teaching, different trends in facility and equipments, and also howe creative tensions (competition and corporation) within the same city and region contribute to the creation of architectural culture were found.
