Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the present study, we have developed ostrich IgY against HPV proteins. The IgY could bind specifically to HPV proteins and neutralize the viral infections to culture cells even in the lower dosages. These results suggested that IgY against HPV proteins blocked the viral adsorptions onto cell cell surface of culture cells and inhibited the viral infections. The IgY might have a potential to inhibit and prevention of HPV infections in humans by applying in love lotions etc, leading to prevention of cervical cancers. We need further in vivo and clinical studies to clarify this point.
