Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the year 2015, which marked the fiftieth anniversary of Junichiro Tanizaki’s death, his works attract public attention at both domestic and international through the release of the complete works of him[26Volumes, 2015-2017]. His writing activities had kept on conflicting with national power that controlled the freedom of speech for more than half a century. The purpose of this study is to uncover correlation between Tanizaki’s works and Censorship, by researching Tanizaki’s handwritten materials―autograph manuscripts and letters-, and I considered the meaning of his literary activities.
