| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focused on the function of neutrophils infiltrating the breast cancer and carried out to clarify the relationship with cancer progression. Cathepsin G, a protein secreted from neutrophils, formed aggregates of cultured breast cancer cells. This experimental result shows the possibility that neutrophils are involved in malignant cancer cells and promotion of metastasis. This study elucidated the mechanism of this cell aggregation and the results were published in academic journals. It is also very likely that promoting cancer malignancy is very high. We are planning to promote the relationship with cancer metastasis in the future.
