Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Selenium is an essential trace element that plays an important role in the oxidative stress defense system. In this study, the effect of selenium on allergic diseases was investigated. As a result, it was clarified that the supplementation of seleno-L-methionine suppresses immediate and chronic skin allergic reactions. Furthermore, it was clarified that the immediate type and the chronic skin allergic reaction aggravated by selenium deficiency.
