Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this research is to clarify the sports shojo manga from the 1960s to the 1980s with the aim of clarifying the rise and fall of the work which the main character of a sports girl posted in shojo manga magazines I analyzed the representation of the heroine from the viewpoint of gender criticism and examined the historical transition. I investigated 12 major shojo manga magazines in the National Diet Library and analyzed the total of 685 works of 80 works in the 1960s, 374 works in the 1970s, 231 works in the 1980s, the following was found out. 1. Until the 1970's, many heroines were integrated in which sports and life integrated, and reality was required for depiction of the body. 2. In the 80's, the importance of sports for the heroine declined, and attitude to enjoy was seen.
