Research Abstract |
This research is to propose a new technique for General Commissioning (performance verification) of house ventilation system based on the purpose of energy saving and preventing sick house syndrome. And this research was implemented for the development of operation support and assessment tools that are essential for Commissioning. It is obliged to install mechanical ventilation facilities in houses and draw out a numeric statement of the planning stage by the revised Japanese Building Standard. However it was revealed that the air flow rate of ventilation system was below the requirement of 0.5 ACH in many existing houses. For the General Commissioning technique, the assessment method of each stage was studied according to the assumption of the performance verification of planning, installation and operation stages. The ventilation planning simulation tool developed as the assessment tool of planning is able to estimate the ventilation rate easily by substituting openings. In the case which requires essential detailed analysis, a hybrid technique was developed. This technique can calculate ventilation rate between nodes using COMIS and air flow in the room by CFD for Macro and Micro analysis. For the measurement method of installation and operation stages, we operated the examination of measurement and numerical analysis for the actual and experimental houses. And we analyzed the selected and application method to meet the measurement conditions such as types of house and ventilation system and situation of house, in terms of items, equipments, periods of measurement, application condition and load of the house owners. Finally the General Commissioning of the ventilation systems of the actual houses was examined. The cost for the Commissioning and the training of the Commissioning Engineers is the key to the prevalence of the General Commissioning of the house ventilation system.
