Research Abstract |
(1)Development of a system to develop a 3D digital model shape from emerging information based on sensibility (Kansei) a)A system to construct the 3D digital model from image words (Kansei Language) representing the product concept was developed. b)A system to construct the 3D digital model from sketch drawn by a designer was developed. c)A virtual clay modeling system which can perform modeling work in the virtual space was developed. d)A system to construct the high quality 3D digital model from a rough physical model was developed. (2)Development of a system to evaluate a 3D digital model shape by scientific analysis a)An algorithm to automatically reconstruct the shape by controlling curvature change according to curvature frequency distribution was proposed and a system based on the algorithm was developed. b)The curvature entropy which represents "complexity" of a shape was proposed. An algorithm to beautify the shape by the controlling the curvature entropy was developed and a system based on the algorithm was developed. c)An algorithm to construct the shape with 1/f fluctuation of curvature change was proposed, and a system based on the algorithm was developed. (3)Development of a system to reconstruct a 3D digital model shape by mathematical analysis a)An algorithm to reconstruct the shape with required high light lines indicated by a designer was proposed, and a system based on the algorithm was developed. b)An algorithm to construct the shape with characteristic lines indicated by a designer as sketch lines was proposed, and a system based on the algorithm was developed. (4)System integration A system to design a style form from emerging information based on sensibility (Kansei) was developed by integrating the above mentioned three systems.
