Research Abstract |
Reading on papers is still generally preferred than reading on display in spite of the current progress of electronic display technologies. Concept of Electronic Paper is suggested as a readable electronic medium, which has both merits of a paper and electronic displays. This study aims the following two items : 1) To clarify factors of the readability which is ideally realized on paper medium; clarified factors will show us good guidelines to realize a readable Electronic Paper. 2) To develop a novel readable display method suitable for Electronic Paper Several guidelines for improving readability on electronic displays were clarified as a result from our research on (1). Several new display methods were suggested as our research product on (2).
