Research Abstract |
Integrated Code : TASK code which is written by Fortran 77 is now rewritten by Fortran 95. The subroutines for equilibrium calculation, MHD and NBI are extracted from TOPICS code and reconstructed by modules. The interface between TASK code and equilibrium module is developed and the combined code is tested. Combined with transport code TOPICS and stability code MARG2D, ELM simulation for the burning plasma is performed. The one dimensional fluid type code is developed and is benchmarked with standard transport code TASK. Hierarchical Model : the global code which can handle with the interaction between transport, MHD and turbulence is developed. Using this code, acceleration of MHD mode due to the turbulence and nonlocal transport in the reversed shear configuration is analyzed. The mechanism of internal transport barrier formation and collapse is identified. The physical characteristic of heat loss due to ELM is explored by particle simulation. MHD : MARG2D code module is offered as a

tool for analysis of Tokamak experiments and for integrated transport simulation code. Parallel Computing Technique : the accelerator for MARG2D is designed to speed up the simulation. The hybrid simulation technique using heterogeneous system such as scalar and vector machine is considered. Data Analysis : Using ITPA database maintained by the mirror server in Kyoto University, transport models are benchmarked each other. It is found that CDBM05 model fits experimental profiles very well. Working group : The 5th BPSI(Burning Plasma Simulation Initiative) meeting was held in Kyushu University in 12/21-22 2006. Discussions on burning plasma integrated code which is enable to predict burning plasma were made. WWW : the source code of TASK is opened on the home of page BPSI (http://bpsi.nucleng.kyoto-u.ac.jp/bpsi/). 3D version of TASK code : the time evolution equations for rotational transform and electric field are formulated to apply TASK code to Helical system and these modules are developed Less
