Research Abstract |
This research aims at developing Case Method materials based on the actual experiences of the Japanese experts and educators who are engaged in the regional development. The Case Method materials are developed together with the teaching guidelines to be used for the training of professionals as well as class room teaching at universities. For the second year, each researcher summarized and analyzed the result of the field study and interviews to write specific cases. Further, researchers organized test teaching at the university and received feedback from the participants. Such feedback was used to improve each case writing. The case varies from international collaboration in Mongolia, public partnership in Africa, coastal management in northern Japan, tunami disaster in Sri Lanka, academic cooperation in Thailand and others. Cases of research collaborators contributed the quality of the case collections. Seven cases are gathered together with teaching guidelines. It is hoped to be published to serve as teaching and training materials for universities and development organizations.
