Research Abstract |
The purpose of this development research is to develop the teacher training system as career education supported by e-learning system and internship, corresponding to various issues and problems occurring presently in schools. Nowadays school teachers are generally required to take actions to resolve such issues, for instance, avoiding school activities, bullying classmates, classroom violence, applying individual learning, accomplishing new curriculum, employing new technology like ICT to conducting classes and so on. Therefore we should assist/support school teachers to be able to acquire new philosophies, methods and technology in aspects of career education to resolve such problems and issues. We have got good results and prospects on teacher training in pre-service by employing internship and in-service teacher training supported by e-learning system. Students, who took parts in the workshop on ICT hosted by O.P.C.I.E ; Okayama Pref.Center of Information Education to assist the school teacher as participants in handling several useful soft-wares like "Excel", "Power Point", "Home Page Builder" and so on, were able to have great experiences in instructing as intern the participants how to use such soft-wares. On the other hands, the e-learning system developed by us mainly consists of LMS ; "Blackboard ML" manufactured by Blackboard Co,., a streaming server : Express 5800/internet streaming server DS produced by NEC and a proper management server installed a special soft-ware produced by us ; Power Edge 1800 produced by DELL. A few video-taped lectures leveled at graduate school are installed with teaching aids as presentation soft-wares in the e-learning. Some teacher supervisors at O.P.C.I.E. tried to operate the system and to assess/evaluate it from viewpoints of feasibility for career education of teachers. Through operating this system, they provide us suggestible opinions and prosperities on its functions with several concrete comments.
