Research Abstract |
This Research was carried out as follows ; (1) The Collection of Materials on the Kawabe-gawa Dam Project ・Investigated Organizations ; Kumamoto Prefectural Office, Itsuki Village Office, Kumamoto Prefectural Library, Hitoyoshi City Library, "Yamasemi" (Museum exhibited the Kawabe-gawa Dam Project and Itsuki Village Cultures) ・Analysis of Materials Collected from above Organizations (2) Field Investigation in Itsuki Village ・Interview to Itsuki Village Inhabitants ・Editing of the Interview Results (3) Discussion of the Reorganization Process of several Communities This Research Results are as follows ; (1) The biggest problem of this project is that it has taken too long time from the plan announcement. (Over 40 years) (2) The Conclusion of this research as follows ; ・In case of village community reorganization, it is extremely useful to make use of folkways and folk events. ・When I studied about the big project like Kawabe-gawa Dam Project which needed moving from folkloric standpoint, I have found out the most important matter is that project promoter should consider the moving persons' minds and circumstances.
