Research Abstract |
It has been stated that weapon transfer is one of the most important factors toward developing Sino-Arab relations. Although the Chinese government has strongly denied weapon transfer from China, the US Department of Defense, the CIA, the US Congressional Research Service, and the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission have released many reports of China's weapon transfer to the Arab countries, especially to Iran. China transfers military technology not only because of acquisition of huge foreign currency, but also because of its security strategy. Weapon transfer facilitates the wielding of political influence over the buyers, and raises the military capability and prestige of the country, while magnifying its influence on the region. e in the Middle East. While China depends on Arab countries in the field of energy, Arab countries count on China in a military capacity. As we look to the future, we will require great insight into China's approach to the use of military force in Arab countries. The issues of Taiwan and Palestine are top priorities for both China and the Arab countries, so it is crucial for them to support the issues as allies. In addition to this, I believe that China has the diplomatic strategy to raise Chinese presence in the international political arena through participating in the process of resolving the Palestine Issue. The expansion of Chinese assistance toward the Arab countries is one of the important reasons Sino-Arab relations have developed so smoothly. China has diversified its assistance to the Arab countries for the expansion of China's influence. In recent years, China has taken an active attitude toward the Middle East, and Sino-Arab Relations have been developing. China has built cooperative mechanisms with Middle Eastern countries in various fields such as politics, economy, trade, culture, education, and sports. In order to develop the Sino-Arab relations, China and the Arab countries established the Sino-Arab Cooperative Forum. When Fu Jintao visited the headquarters of Arab League in January 2004, he posed the following four points as "four principles of a new type of partnership between China and the Arab League in the new time." First, development of political relations with mutual respect. Second, close trade relations with the intention of mutual development. Third, expansion of cultural exchanges on the model of each other. Fourth, the maintenance of world peace, promotion of mutual development, and the reinforcement of cooperation regarding international affairs. In addition, China and the Arab League declared the formation of a Sino-Arab cooperative forum. Currently, China has formed the multinational cooperative zone by 1+10, a Shanghai cooperative organization, the Sino-Arab Forum and the Sino-Africa Forum. Less
