The founder, Mikhail Iakovlevich, extended his businesss from the dealing in the textile product to manufacturing. 2. Mikhail's second son, Pavel, endeavored in the expansion of factories. 3. Pavel's eldest son, Pavel Pavlovich, extended his businesss from the cotton industry to the lumbering, paper manufacturing industry, publishing, flax manufacturing, oil industry, and automobile industry. 4. In addition, Pavel Pavlovich was engaged in the banking business.
