Research Abstract |
In this study, trends of academic research activitiy crossing borders are analyzed empirically first. In addition, impacts of knowledge-based society on University are considered. Finally, based on facts and implications mentioned above, structural changes in university system are discussed. Main findings are as follows ; 1.The development of knowledge-based society makes the border between university research activity and society weak. These changes require new specialist to intermediate university and society. Emergency of the new type of job will cause structural change in the internal system on university. 2., Accelerating trends of academic research activitiy crossing borders, member of real research group belong to different university each other. Competition exist not among universities, but exist between university system and other public corporations. As a infrastructure, each universities do collaborate each other for the contribution of the university system
