Research Abstract |
In traverse truing of diamond wheel, there is a problem that the wheel working surface is trued into diagonally. To solve this problem, the author proposed inclination truing method and its effect was examined by simulation and experiment. The results obtained are as follows : 1.In traverse truing, wheel working surface is trued into diagonally depend on depth of cut. But wheel working surface trued by in inclination truing is almost flat regardless of depth of cut. 2.In traverse truing, wheel working surface is always trued into diagonally in any initial wheel working surface profile. On the other hand, in inclination truing, flat wheel working surface is obtained regardless of initial wheel working surface profile. 3.Wheel working surface profiles obtained by developed simulation program are almost coincide with those by experiment. 4.Waviness on wheel working surface is eliminated by rotary truing.
