Research Abstract |
This paper deals with the total performance evaluation of the novel NPC three-phase ZVS-PWM converter circuit and system by using quasi resonant DC link (QRDCL) which operates under the digital control scheme. The proposed QRDCL system which is extended conventional voltage cramped QRDCL topology has simple circuit topology and easy operation control characteristics. The Circuit operation of newly developed QRDCL topology for NPC converter will be described in detail. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed resonant DC link circuit operation by the simulation of QRDCL unity power converter system. The novel zero voltage switching topology for NPC converterr has been proposed and discussed, in this paper. In addition, its operating principal of proposed topology which consists of the expanded QRDCL is described in detail. The total system performance in active converter application has been discussed on the basis of the simulation results for evaluation. The proposed ZVS NPC active converter system has comparatively good performance with simple control scheme for ZVS operation
