Outline of Final Research Achievements

In collaboration with Itabashi Ward and Toda City, we proposed training and teaching methods which enhance learners' reading skills (Arai, Inuzuka, Sugawara). Especially in Itabashi Ward, we supported the design of curriculum and lesson plans to acquire the ability to read. We also devised a statistical model to clarify whether or not the examinee chose the wrong option based on misconception by setting appropriate options of the reading skill test.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

考案したリーディングスキルテストで測定する汎用的基礎読解力が学力を形作るキーコンピテンシーであることを明らかにしたとともに、汎用的基礎読解力を身に着けるための授業案やカリキュラムを教育委員会や学校と連携して考案し、日本の学力向上に資する研究を行った。
