Outline of Final Research Achievements

We considered stick-slip and slip vibrations in a forced mechanical dynamical system with dry friction. Moreover, we tied the results to industrial applications. The following was implemented:
(1) Proposal for a new mapping method in a forced mechanical dynamical system with dry friction. (2) An investigation into a translation mechanism between stick-slip and slip vibrations. (3) Analysis of mixed-mode oscillations(MMOs) in Bonhoeffer-van der Pol Oscillator with ideal diode. (4) An investigation into translation mechanism for mechanical dynamics with weak harmonic periodic force. (5) Effect on a vibration cutting system by weak harmonic perturbation. (6) Experimental verification.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本申請は、応用研究を見据えた基礎研究に特徴がある。基礎研究の成果は、機械振動系のみならず電気系や生体系の問題に応用できることがわかった。また、応用研究の成果は、本申請を深化させることで広く産業応用へと適用可能である。具体的には、提案した制御法は元々印加されていた周期外力に微小高調波外力をさらに印加したのみだが、性能が劇的に向上する可能性が高い。将来的には、振動プレス加工等の技術としても結実し、グリーンイノベーションの推進に役立つと期待できる。
