| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A field survey was performed at major art museums and schools in the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Singapore, and Taiwan that conduct advanced art appreciation education using works in their collections. It found that, among others: interactive appreciation with inquiring conversations was prevailing; appreciation program was made to link curriculum; cross-curricular efforts to expand beyond art were made; online education was utilized. Building on the findings, we have developed the “Art Appreciation Material Box” website that provides access to high-resolution images of sixty-two works from the collections of the National Art Museums to enable educators everywhere to give cross-curricular classes following the Education Ministry’s guidelines.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
北欧とアジアの美術館における先進的な鑑賞教育の現地調査と、学校視察や教育行政担当者へのインタビューを行い、その国の教育システム全体から鑑賞教育を捉えるよう試み、論文・学会等で報告した。
また、研究成果物として公開したオンライン教材「鑑賞素材BOX」は、教科横断型の探求的な鑑賞授業を全国どの学校でも行えるよう支援するものであり、オンライン活用が急務となった教育現場に提供できるリソースとして社会的意義がある。
