Outline of Final Research Achievements

The results of this research are divided into two parts: (1) the system identification method to make the simulator's behavior consistent with that of the real system, and (2) the nonlinear control system design method to design a control system based on the simulator.
For (1), we developed a new method for closed-loop system identification using a virtual controller. This is an effective way to adjust the simulator for large systems and human-operated systems. ....
For (2), we studied the approaches to combine the methods used in machine learning and control theory, and proposed methods based on the simplification of design problems and the construction of databases.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では大規模なシステムや複雑なシステムに対するシミュレータの調節を行うためのシンプルかつ有効な方法を提案しており,今後制御工学のアプローチを生体や社会などの複雑かつ大規模なシステムに応用していく上で重要な成果であると考えられる.
また本研究において,これまで重要でありながら注目されていなかった制御系設計問題の難しさを可視化し,基本的な方策を示したことは,今後制御工学の適用範囲を拡大し様々な効率の向上を図るうえで意義があると考えられる.
