Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of my research project was to clarify Roland Barthes' Literary Theory from a new point of view by comparative study of Barthes' Literary Theory and Speech Act Theory of the 20th Century. In this research, I comprehensively researched Barthes’ Literary Theory, picked up related contemporary linguistic theory, and analyzed the influence relationship between both sides. I systematized the linguistic foundation which is the premise of Barthes’ Literary Theory, tried to elucidate Barthes’ Literary Theory from a new viewpoint.
