Outline of Final Research Achievements

By this grant, following databases are produced and have been published: 1) Shuowen Jiezi Zhuan Yunpu - Shuowen Jiezi Xizhuan mapping table 2) Comparison table of Shuowen Jiezi Xizhuan representative glyphs 3) digital images of Shuowen Jiezi Wang Qishu edition 4) digital images of Shuowen Jiezi Zhuang Yunpu - Xiaoxue Huihan edition 5) digital images of Shuowen Jiezi Zhuang Yunpu - Hanhai edition 6) Comparison table of Shuowen Jiezi representative glyphs in Jiguge 5th edition and Siku Quanshu edition 7) Comparison table of Shuowen Jiezi representative glyphs of the multiple reprints of Iwasaki edition 8) digital images of Shuowen Jiezi Pingjinguan edition 9) Shuowen Jiezi Wuyin Pianhai - Shuowen Jiezi mapping table.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本課題の実施により、篆韻譜・小徐本の全数対応が第三者検証できる形で公開でき、それにより定量的に篆韻譜は大徐本成立以前の二徐の説文学の姿を残していると考えられることを示した。また、篆韻譜の字形を全て拾うことで、四庫全書本の小徐本の小篆字形が他のどの版本とも違うことについて一つの説明を提示することができた。また同時に、四庫全書本の内容が他本と違うことがすなわち書写の品質が低いからとは限らず、四庫学よりも広い範囲での書誌学研究の対象となりうる可能性を示した。
その他の成果としては、説文関係資料で参照されるものの影印出版が日本で流通していないもののデジタル画像を公開したことがある。
