| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we examined what kind of support is necessary for children who have experienced social care to overcome the adversities they experienced in their childhood and integrate into society in order to return home and become independent. In carrying out our research theme, we carefully observed, recorded, and analyzed family reunification support in orphanages, and also conducted a questionnaire survey in orphanages to identify the difficulties experienced by young care leavers. The results of the research showed that in order to overcome adverse childhood experiences, it is necessary to connect people with each other and to take a trust-based approach.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
社会的養護を経験した若者のその後の生活は、経済的にも、また対人関係の面でも困難を抱えやすいとされている。
本研究では、入所児童の自立支援、家族再統合支援における児童養護施設の家庭支援専門相談員の実践を調査するとともに、児童養護施設を退所した若者において、幼少期の経験が現在の生活にどのように影響を与えているかを調査した。児童養護施設においては、退所児童のアフターケアがその業務の一つとして位置づけられている。本研究で得られた知見は、入所中のケア（インケア）をどのように提供するか、人的資源も含めた環境調整をどのように行うかによって退所後の生活の困難の緩和に貢献しうる意味で社会的意義を持つものである。
