| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In 2015, Japanese government decided to give right to vote for all of Japanese more than 18 years old. But Japanese high school can't give useful education of citizenship, because 18 years old students are very busy in studying for entrance exam to university or company. Then we have tried to develop new educational curriculum for citizenship education in national college of technology, that gives 5 year education for students.
As a research result, we could publish 4 papers in Bulletin of the National College of Technology Niihama. And we could hold workshop class of social study subjects and total conference for this research project in each fiscal year by 3 times.Through these research activities, we have developed many example of class for social study subjects and published final result report for this research project in march 2019.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
通常の高校や大学では大学受験勉強や就職活動で分断されてしまい、継続的な主権者教育が困難な18歳の学生たちに対して、５年一貫で継続した教育が可能であり、また高校の教育指導要領に縛られない高等専門学校において、１８歳選挙権時代に対応した新たな社会科カリキュラムの開発を行った。
本研究においては、１８歳選挙権や政治参加に対する学生たちの考えをアンケート調査によって明らかにし、その実情に基づいて新たな時代にふさわしい「省察的主権者」の理念を実現しうる授業の実践例を多数開発し、「新居浜高専紀要」等で公開している。
いずれの例も幅広く高校や大学での新たな主権者教育の参考にすることが可能である。
