Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we focused on the time-related functions of older people and aimed to propose a quantitative evaluation method for time orientation, time perception, and time management functions (time processing ability). We created the temporary KaTid-Old tool, which is tailored to the characteristics of older people, based on a time processing ability assessment tool, the KaTid-Child developed in Sweden for children with developmental disabilities. Using the KaTid-Old, we conducted an evaluation experiment on older people with cognitive disabilities, and will analyze 55 people for whom all data were available. When research progress was delayed due to the spread of COVID-19 infection, we collaborated with time processing ability research groups in Sweden and India to conduct a scoping review of the time processing ability assessment tools developed so far.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
