Research Abstract |
We conducted more than 30 oral histories, filed over 20 historical documents and held 11 meetings in 3 years. During the term, we published 17 oral history series, 25 catalogues of newly filed historical documents, 11 lectures on modern Japan, historical documents, policy making process, security policy in private distribution. We printed some 100 copies of each and distributed them to major libraries and researchers all over Japan. The final report (Japanese) carries the list of our private distributions. We also edited " Dictionary of Historical Documents of Historical Figures in Modern Japan 3" in 2008 by Yoshikawa Kobunkan. We edited the dictionary in every 2 years since 2004. It contains some 1000 historical figures of Modern Japan relating mainly to politics in the series. In December of 2008 We held a symposium under the title "Sengo wa owattaka"(Is Japan's "Post war" over?) as a closing ceremony of this project. We had 6 presentations and commentaries and more than 100 researchers were attended in this symposium. The final report carries the whole transcripts of this symposium.
