Research Abstract |
This research aims to pursue“Han Sekai"as a whole. We especially valued public awareness to reveal how it was formed in what level, what relation was built up between various groups and what social order and political order was formed. We set the field of research in Kyushu region. We carried out researches on each prefecture in Kyushu in 2005 to 2007. The historical materials of Tsushima-Han, Omura-Han, Shimabara-Han, Saga-Han, Hirado-Han, Yanagawa-Han, Kurume-Han, Hitoyoshi-Han, Usuki-Han, Takanabe-Han, Kagoshima-Han, and Nagasaki Magistrate were collected. We constructed the data base of the sankin-koutai system that all Daimyo in Kyushu had done in Edo period by the research based on the above-mentioned investigation in addition to using“Tokugawa-Jikki"and “Zoku-Tokugawa-Jikki".
