Research Abstract |
1) Relaxation process of the light-induced spin-crossover in two-step spin-crossover diiorn(II) dinuclear complex, [{Fe(4ph-py)(NCNH_3)}_2(μ-bpypz)], were measured by Prof.K.Boikheddaden at Versailes University in France. This result show the relxation process is associated with the incubation, which might be related to the [High-spin-high-spin]…[low-spin-low-spin] species at the middle point of the two-step spin-crossover. 2) The variable temperature magnetic susceptibility, X-ray crystallography, and Mossbauer and Raman spectra of a new dinuclear complex-based one-dimensional coordination polymer [{Fe^<II>_2(NCS)_2(μ-bpypz)_2]}(μ-4,4'-bpy)]・ MeOH demonstrated a steep one-step [HS-HS] to [LS-LS] spin transition. 3) We have firstly shown that bpypz" and iron(II) salts undergo homo-chiral self-assembly into the bis triple stranded cluster helicate in which the [Fe_3O]^<4+>core is stabilized by bridging the two mononuclear [Fe^<II>(bpypz)_3]^-units. A [Fe^<II>_3O]^<4+> cluster-core is wrapped by two terminal [Fe^<II>(bpypz)_3]^-units as a candy in a wrap to form a five nuclear bis triple-stranded helicate. This is indeed the first example of the assembly that includes the oxo-centered trinuclear iron(II) core. This synthetic approach could provide new perspectives on the preparation of complex and stable helicates with high nuclearity and programmed properties
