Research Abstract |
This study tried to investigate into educational (curricular) relationships among schools/universities, career-supporting organizations, and companies in many countries and regions empirically by analyzing high school and university students "transition to work" process as formation process of competency (vocational ability development). For the goals of the study, we seek to corporate with many researchers in foreign countries. So, the countries this study objects are Germany, French, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Republic of Korea, and Japan. As outcomes of this study, at the first, we have been able to construct the theoretical framework for "transition. " We often focus on only "transition between organizations" (the aspect of labor market,) but it is important to see relevance between, schools/universities and employment/companies from competency formation in learning or learning contents. In this study, we call it as "curriculum transition." Second, from the point of this view, we have found not only"complementary" relations on the aspect of competency formation, but also "conflicting" or "oppositional" relations on the aspects of social attitude formation or one's value formation in this relevance.
