Research Abstract |
The aim of this research was to establish a technical framework for the quantitative management process optimization in the software development as a basic technology to develop high-quality software efficiently. Concrete results are as follows: 1. The development of the process model and the description supporting tool to achieve the pattern composition: Basic framework to define the connection of the process parts (process pattern) was developed based on the PReP model, which is proposed by us. 2. The collection and the analysis of the example of the quantitative management: The investigation of actual conditions and the pattern of the quantitative process management for a real enterprise was maintained. More concretely, the generalization of the data description and the dependence of the content of ‘Management indicators and Measurement and analysis data list' that is maintained by production technology headquarters in the information and the communication group of Hitachi Ltd. were analyzed Moreover to discuss potential needs and the demand in the project planning work, the investigation of the questionnaire form was conducted about a present use state of the management indicators in the software development organization. 3. The development of authoring/tailorring/inspection system of the quantitative management process: The quantitative managed software process planning support system EPDG series that supported the tailorring based on our framework was developed. The EPDG series has following support features: -Adjustment and correction support of management plan - Selection support of quantitative measurement -Reuse support of process descriptions and quantitative measurement definitions -Measurement and analysis support of actually enacted processes Moneover, the input making of contents of the index definition, the standard process used in the cooperation enterprise, and the process and the data definition, etc. used widely and standard was done.
