Research Abstract |
In this research, we have studied the symbiotic computing platform that is the software infrastructure to realize symbiosis between human and IT environments, towards post-ubiquitous computing environments. With this R&D, we have developed basic technologies for the post-ubiquitous computing environments which can provide safety, convenient and secure services as well as anytime and anywhere. We have actually promoted the following research items: 1. Creation of basic concept of symbiotic computing platform 2. R&D on symbiotic computing platform based on multiagent technology 3. R&D on symbiotic computing middleware (AMUSE) 4. Evaluation of symbiotic computing platform As an application to evaluate our proposed scheme, we have developed a prototype of supervisory support system for elderly people. By using the prototype, we have performed experiments to confirm total power of the platform we have developed. From the experimental results, we have verified that the platform based on the middleware AMUSE, works effectively, and the prototype can provide more gentle and higher quality services than previous ones for users. Our research results are presented by papers in a international journal and several international conferences. We have three invited papers and received an outstanding paper award in the international conference. We received a best paper award and invited as an invited paper in domestic conference. From these things, we think that we have achieved good research results that overcome our research plan.
