Research Abstract |
A mechanism (evolution mechanism) for socialware that expands/enhances the sociaware itself to deal with various changes of both the users' requests and the systems' environment had been studied in this project, and the following results had been given. (1) An architecture of socialware designed as an organization of agents had been studied. A new concept called the evolutional agent system (EAS), which has an evolution mechanism as its component is proposed and a behavior control model of the EAS is defined to support the design of the EAS. (2) Focusing on the EAS realized by a single organization of problem solving agents, a design model of the evolution mechanism of EAS had been defined by using a meta-agent and the agent repository mechanism. (3) Using the repository-based multiagent framework, a flexible organization function of agents for EAS, a support function of interoperation of the agent system and the non-agent system (conventional information system), and a agent platform management function over the ubiquitous environment have been proposed and designed as the basis of the EAS. Moreover, the socialware components and socialware applications have been studied to get idea for designing the evolution mechanism of EAS.
