Research Abstract |
In this research, by using the Oshima Internet astronomical observatory, we were doing the experimental class of physics to students of Oshima National College of Maritime Technology (Oshima kosen) and the open lecture to the child of the elementary school that is in the vicinity. Succeedingly, we do our best so that we can send the Internet observatory plan from Tsuyama. The experimental class about the application of a computer simulation to the science education was performed several times. It is as follows concretely. 1. The second stage in "Internet astronomical observatory" plan We are doing the making work of "a very small Internet astronomical observatory" in Tsuyama. To realize simple structure without the dome opening and closing, it is equipped with a 12.7cm caliber telescope and a small fanless PC (Linux), etc. in the aluminum box which puts the pyramid (80 cm per one side) of transparency acrylic on the top. From now on, we would like to aim at the opening to public and also the educational application. 2. Making of visualization contents of physical phenomenon by computer simulation For visualization contents "e-Physics" by Flash, we summarized the experimental class that had been done in Oshima Kosen and Kure College of Technology. The program development that uses the latest computer simulation is still the future. To obtain a scientific finding for the purpose, we performed the super computer simulations that related to the phase transition in the early universe and high density states inside neutron stars, and obtained some results. We are planning to continue the making of visualization contents with students.
