Research Abstract |
Keeping in mind the main theme "What would you do if you found a similar Web page on the Internet? pupils browsed seven different web pages, filled out a worksheet for any Information Morality issues or problems they found on those web pages, and then engaged in discussions. It was discovered that the pupils who participated in the survey were not adequately able to recognize the importance of Personal Information Protection or points regarding information transmission, and to appropriately deal with rumors, misinformation, or slanders on the message boards properly ; however, after being provided with a series of instructions, they were able to answer what counted as knowledge and identify measures to deal with the aforementioned problems. In addition, the analysis of the learning development revealed that the instructions would be more effective if they were focused more on the pupils' proper understanding of the meanings of rules. Further, making them able to adopt right attitudes or actions to protect themselves when faced with some unknown situations would help in contrast to just explaining rules regarding how to respond to the issue of Information Morality.
