Research Abstract |
Several educational activities for the study were conducted to improve both ICT skills and planning ability, and to enhance students' knowledge and international collaboration. A questionnaire was also addressed to investigate education effects. (1) Planning of collaborative works with foreign students Collaborative works based on robotic experiments were planned. They were made for primary school, junior high school and university students. (2) Developing educational materials for collaborative studies with foreign students The robotic car was improved through collaborative studies with foreign students. (3) Development of Interactive communication system Interactive communication system was developed through video conference and e-mail to improve students' language skills and communication skills. At the same time students' awareness was surveyed through collaborative studies. (4) A study on student's skills through collaborative studies using ICT, and an appropriate curriculum It was found that student's awareness of the project and ICT skills were developed. It was also found that students recognized the need to increase presentation skills. (5) Educational experimental activities to develop student's Information analysis skills Educational experimental activities to develop student's Information analysis skill were conducted in the class. A system was developed so that students were able to control a robotic car without special programming skills. Foreign students took part in the experiment and evaluated students' idea each other.
