Research Abstract |
We developed a ubiquitous exercise lesson support system. We used PDAs for student's handy terminals, and a note PC for lecturer's terminal. Each terminal is connected by wireless LAN. Students can draw on their PDA screen their answer about the problem. Lecturer can watch by his PC student's answer on PDA, and can write advices on their answer. All students can watch lecturer's PC screen projected on the large screen. Since lecturer can check all students' answers and send advice to each student with no round. Forty students used and evaluated this system at the database exercise in 2007. We could get good result, and contributed three papers. We developed a ubiquitous historical tour support system which could support ubiquitously pre tour learning and on tour learning. At pre tour learning, user can travel virtually on his/her PC screen. At on tour learning, user can get the information of historic site at present used his/her mobile phone having GPS. Twelve travelers in Matsue Castle used this system and evaluated, and answered by questionnaire. We could get good evaluations. We presented at 11th International Conference on Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information and Engineering Systems, 2007 took place in Italy. The system for Learning Ecology has a multimedia picture book and 3D graphics about Lake Shinji. We presented this system at IV INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MULTIMEDIA AND. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION, 2006 took place in Spain. In addition, we developed environmental idiom picture book newly, and presented at society.
