Research Abstract |
The fundamental technology of cutting of the cell using the cell characteristic evaluation system and micro-channel form for enabling physical machining in the environment of closed space as micro-cannel was established. The cell characteristic evaluation system are consist of the electric stage, the two fingered micro hand, and the micro force sensor on the tip of finger of the micro hand. The mechanical characteristic could be measured by this system. Target cell are egg cells which are normal egg cell of cow and the egg cell by cytochalasin treatment. The system could find the difference of stiffness in two type cells. The cell cutting can be performed by weak force since the cell stiffness is lost by the cytochalasin treatment. So, by design of micro-cannel form and fluidic control, the cell cutting process can be performed. The insertion of the single cell into a micro-cannel is very difficult. When there is a backwater in micro-cannel, the cell is caught around the backwater. The rate of insertion of a cell becomes row. A joint connection is designed for loosing the backwater. Also, the air bubble in the micro-cannel raise same problem. The connection technique not aerated of the joint parts is considered.
