Research Abstract |
I examined the four Chinese classics interpretation of NAKAI Riken, and this study was aimed at elucidating significance of NAKAI Riken's thought of orthodox Neo-Confucianism in the history of Confucianism thought in the Japanese early modern times. At first I examined contents of Rongo Hougen Moushi Hougen and, about the view of human nature as fundamentally good, elucidated the characteristic of the outlook on human being of NAKAI Riken which assumed awareness of the good the matter of the saint. In addition, I weighed outlook on saint of NAKAI Riken against outlook on saint of ITO Jinsai/OGYUU Sorai and elucidated that ITO Jinsai/NAKAI Riken maintained outlook on saint as the man of integrity of a common ideal with a situation of orthodox Neo-Confucianism study. Furthermore, as a result of having weighed a viewpoint of ITO Jinsai/OGYUU Sorai/NAKAI Riken about the view of human nature as fundamentally good, this elucidated that ITO Jinsai/NAKAI Riken was in a position to maintain the situation of the view of human nature as fundamentally good basically. Therefore, it became clear that both the outlook on saint and the view of human nature as fundamentally good had a common point in ITO Jinsai/NAKAI Riken. There were both ITO Jinsai and NAKAI Riken in the category of satin studies in the big frame, and it became clear orthodox Neo-Confucianism study of NAKAI Riken in particular namely that the orthodox Neo-Confucianism study of Kaitokudo were connected directly in the orthodox Neo-Confucianism school in the latter period in the early modern times after all. Kaitokudo school was located between orthodox Neo-Confucianism school in the days of Edo in the latter period in orthodox Neo-Confucianism school and the early modern times of the early days and elucidated what was placed by the end of history of Confucianism thought as existence to bind early days and both with the latter period together again in the Japan early modern times thereby.
