Research Abstract |
The outline of this research is recorded on below. It was gathered about history of Japanese early-modern archaeology and research work of ceramics by chapter 1. The situation of the ceramics unearthed from consuming region sites was described focusing on a case in Edo by the chapter 2.It was considered about circulation of ceramics based on constitution of the remains unearthed from consuming region. Constitution of the ceramics unearthed at remains in Tokaido area was compared, and showed that there was difference among regions in circulation of ceramics. The form and design of ceramics unearthed by a kiln in a production district was analyzed by Chapter 3. Early-modern ceramics was massed produce like the standard. But when multivariate analysis is performed a minute change can be pointed out. When the distribution of the capacity of Hazori-bowl in Arita and Seto is compared, there is difference. This is regarded as the difference in the strategy for selling in two producing areas. It was considered about a relation between the ceramics which is archaeological remains and historical record by chapter 4. The ceramics on which a name of the year was recorded and the ceramics on which a calendar was recorded ware analyzed. The ceramics on a diary and ceramic of remains were compared. Ceramics is important remains. First it's useful for dating. Second it's possible to reconstructing society.
